Professional Experience

The last project I completed was a single family high-end residential addition in the Russian Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. It was the design partner’s personal home. I handled all aspects of the project from drawing development, detailing, product and materials selection as well as determining and implementing San Francisco code requirements, permit coordination and submittal.

Construction completed on an 18k+ square foot fitness center in March of ‘09. My role was as Project Manager from design development through construction documents, permitting and construction administration. This was part of the VMware corporate office campus, 460k square feet of multiple office buildings, shell and interiors, with McDonough + Partners and Seccombe Design, respectively. This was a three and a half year project. I assisted the Project Architect every step of the way including the following: client contact; team, document and consultant coordination; permit submittal management; construction administration; site visits; field reports; submittal and RFI review and responses, just to name a few. I frequently assumed key responsibilities of the Project Architect as necessitated, becoming their right hand man you could say. I provided an acute eye for detail, problem solving and design coordination in this fast track project for a corporate client that demanded a high level of service.

In ’09 I also worked on a project for Hines real estate, an international development company. I prepared a graphically intensive and extensively detailed planning application submittal package. I was involved in the conceptual design phase and took lead in the design development and schematic design coordination on this pre-certified LEED Silver project. It was a complex project within a FEMA flood zone consisting of two separate four story commercial office buildings,with sub-grade parking garages below the water table, on adjacent sites surrounded by CalTrans property . The project was approximately 400k square feet total.
